Summary
Gerard, converted demon, lives a life of anger, depair, and regret in a world where everything is falling apart. Including the people in it. Cities are crumbling, whole towns disappearing into the wilderness, monsters running rampant anywhere where people aren't. When people go missing, no one looks for them, because it's almost assured that they're dead. And Gerard's watched this happen, world turning aroung him, changing, while he stays the same, only growing more distant, more angry with himself, leaving him to let the demon take control and go on murderous rampages frequently.
Frank, in a family (if you could call it that) with only his mother and abusive step-father. The man had never touched Frank, no, he saved that for his mom, along with all the yelling and screaming and fighting. And Frank just can't take it anymore, but there's nothing he can do. People have got better things to worry about, and he can't run away, because he's positive if he tries, he won't make it more than a week, if even that long. But he's running out of options fast, and that's the only thing left for him. So he does, eventually being taken in by the ever awesome, ever caring Brian Schecter, where things get tense and uncomfortable for everyone.

Gerard could have drawn from memory, obviously; Frank's form is imprinted on his mind's eye, and he's drawn it more times than he can count. Gerard just loves to have Frank pose, though. There's something amazing about having Frank all laid out in front of him, for him, unselfconscious, sprawled artlessly on the couch, legs spread, cock soft, ribs rising and falling slowly.

Earth has turned to hell. The people left are all gathered in New York. They're panicked, devastated and abject.
People have always been stupid enough to ruin the world, be greedy and to treat all living things badly. Now God, in the form of a dark cloud circling the city, has taken his revenge on the humans.Since year 1900 he made life miserable for the people. He sucked the gift of feeling happy out of the humans' systems.
Death is a privilege you have to earn by walking the terrifying earth for 30 years.
Killing yourself, dying in an accident or being murdered results in you being reborn and having to start the long journey all over again.Now, 105 years later, there aren't many people left living.
Gerard was born into the miserable world and is 29 years old. He is impatient to finally meet his maker and be able to find peace.
Then he meets the cocky and lively Frank and Gerard's view of the world changes. Now it's a matter of trying to survive.
