Summary
People were just nicer to Susan than they were to Lucy. Sometimes it was a subtle difference, and sometimes it wasn't so subtle, but Lucy could hardly fail to notice. It frustrated her. And once she realized why, she was more frustrated than ever.

Summary
Asuna was a lead clearer in SAO, known as 'the Flash' for her speed and grace. She rose to a leadership position in the premiere guild of that Game, risking her life to protect others. She was the antithesis of the damsel of distress. That she more or less became one in the first ALO arc was just plain fury-inducing.
Here are five antidotes to the 'lone hero syndrome' that the arc seems to have fallen prey to.

Summary
It’s the fourth party she’s been to this week if the one Taylor Kennick threw for herself while her parents stayed in their room counts (it probably doesn’t but whatever, the point is she’s been far too social lately and is just about ready to revert back to her hermit ways). Seriously, if it gets to the point where Mikey breaks out the password they created for emergency situations, and by emergency situations she means their lives have turned into a body snatchers movie, then she knows it's time to put on her pajamas, lock herself in her room, and eat ice cream straight from the carton.

Bad Romance: Dracula, Twilight, and Rape Culture by 100indecisions

Summary
My no-kidding master's thesis, the tl;dr version of which can be summarized as "Twilight sucks, but not because teenage girls love it or because it contains sparkling vampires". Actual abstract: "Despite being generally received as wholesome entertainment, Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series implicitly supports rape culture by subtly reinforcing dangerous ideas about romance and relationships. In order to demonstrate the pervasive nature of these attitudes at work in the Twilight series, this paper first describes the concept itself and the crucial features of the beliefs that support it. Dracula—and, more importantly, the prevailing cultural perceptions about Stoker’s novel—functions as an important intertext for Twilight thanks to its status as one of the earliest popular vampire novels, and I use it to show how these attitudes can normalize certain assumptions about sexuality in a context generally assumed to involve a clear sexual interpretation. My examination of the books in Meyer’s modern vampire narrative takes this idea further, arguing that the same attitudes applied to Dracula provide an even more subtle representation of the mindsets that comprise and perpetuate rape culture."

Summary
It hurts a little to understand this, that Brienne has never seen Margaery as fully as Margaery sees her. But that is what women do, we make enemies of one another when we ought to be doing exactly the opposite. She raises her head and looks back at Brienne, unblinking.
A character study of Margaery Tyrell and Brienne of Tarth, written because ASOIAF ladies are fabulous ;)
