Vriska Serket and Feferi Peixes seem like just about the most different people. Feferi is bubbly, friendly, and popular; a sweet, typical teenage girl. Vriska is punky, a rebel. She is dangerous and cocky and generally disliked. So when the two forces clash during the summer, their similarities are what brings them together in ways nobody would have expected. Being with Vriska gives Feferi the sort of dangerous rush that she secretly loves, and Feferi’s sweetness makes Vriska just the slightest bit more agreeable. And they both love the water.

It’s a long story about life on the tyrannical planet known as Alternia: how it can, at times, be full of puns on the physics of space and tasteless jokes told at another’s expense, and how it can, at other times, be full of broken limbs and ships rocketing away into the dark of space. They aren’t exactly optimists, but over the sweeps, they've found that being together has a tendency to fill it up with the former.
But the other thing about Alternia is that it doesn’t matter if you’re a peasant or a prince, it always has a tendency to screw you over. Or maybe that’s a love thing.

Homestuck/Apocalypse AU. On an Alternia inhabited by trolls and humans, it was prophesied years ago that when the birth of the Son of the Messiah came to be, the world had only five sweeps remaining until the end. A baby boy is found on the steps of the MatriChurch, and is given the name Karkat Vantas--while a necklace of the Signless is found around his neck. The sign of the Messiah. Hidden away by his surrogate mother-sister Kanaya and her fellow Sisters, it is hoped that the prophecy won't come true--but when meteors are sighted on his fourteenth birthday, and demons and angels come a-knocking, the end seems to be coming, and there are two fates ahead of Karkat: kidnapped by the demons, who use his power to burn the world, or kidnapped by the angels, who use his power to 'cleanse' the world. As a last ditch effort, Kanaya elicits the Seer of Light's help, whose cousin is the Knight of Time--a Knight who will be paid handsomely if he can safely escort Karkat to the mysterious Altar of Blood on the other side of the planet, perhaps the only possible third option that will stop The End. The only problem? It's looking like Dave's falling for the New Messiah, whose blood will be spilled regardless of the option they choose.
