Loki hasn’t had a bad week; he’s had a bad year. And after leaving Midgard with Thor, it isn’t getting any better. Possibly not the best time to challenge Odin, but when you are sick and tired and it looks like more of the same is headed your way, well… Stubborn happens. It may not seem to be in your best interest, but how desperate are you for a resolution? Any resolution.

But the kid that John's got by the arm, who's pulled as far away from Dean's dad as possible without actually trying to get his arm back, the kid whose eyes don't leave John and are bright with fear, the kid who looks like he hasn't eaten in a couple of days and is obviously favoring his left leg...
This kid looks an awful lot like a person. And what's more, he's the same age Sammy would have been.

Sherlock's head lifted, those uncanny pale eyes looking at John with complete sincerity. "I've always trusted you, John."
John felt the last bit of tension leaving his shoulders. "Good." He kissed Sherlock one more time, swift and soft — a promise. "That's good."

As the invading pack grows more violent and ruthless it becomes obvious that no one in Beacon Hills is safe. The stakes are raised higher and even with new allies and a firm plan Stiles isn't sure if they'll be able to hold them off much longer.
That isn't helped in the least by Stiles' racing heartbeats and those fluttering butterflies that might or might not be connected to Derek, even if Stiles tries his best to deny it. Because there's just no way that's ever going to happen, even if he might want it to. The broody alpha would never be interested in something like that.

But the more Hulk thrives, the more Bruce withers, and nobody seems to notice or care. When Loki extends a hand to him, he is fully aware it is a trick – but he has got nothing else to hold onto.
The Avengers realize just a bit too late how royally they screwed up. The sharp-sighted, ever-watching Hawkeye cannot blame himself enough for not having seen this disaster coming. Can they still be saved from Banner ?
Do they even deserve it ?
