Harry Styles is a young writer trying to regain the success he earned from his first novel. He can’t find any inspiration so he consults his therapist, who prompts him to write about someone meeting his cat and simply liking her for whatever reason. It’s a weird idea but Harry complies and soon he has a whole person he’s come up with, dreamed up. He writes more and more about the character until he swears he’s in love with him. He calls his character Louis Tomlinson. One morning, after Harry has come to terms with his infatuation, there stands Louis in his kitchen, wearing a bathrobe and underwear with a bowl of cornflakes. And yes, it may be a miracle, a fantasy come true, but Harry has yet to learn that he simply cannot control Louis; despite his conjuration, his is still only human.

When Kurt's father died in an accidental fire he felt as if the world were ending. The event marked the death of his last living parent and he was forced to uproot from Ohio and move across the country to Washington to stay with his Uncle Andy. Taking the adjustment in stride, Kurt did his best to blend in, lay low, and keep out of trouble until he was old enough to escape to college and away from the pain of his past.
His plan would have worked perfectly well if he hadn't moved to a town where most of the general population seemed to know him better than he knew himself, and they all certainly knew his father. And then in one single moment Kurt's life changed once more, throwing him into a world of magic that he could hardly believe existed, and up against forces of power he barely understood, but would destroy him without hesitation.
And then there was Sebastian. One lone, angry boy who had always been meant for Kurt, and who both resented and loved him for the truth of it.
