He was under the influence of what they call the 'Transylvania Effect'.
Once you're bitten, you're one of them.
The whole world is run down with them. It's a werewolf apocalypse.

In one of the last few cities left has a team to protect it. One group used to be called 'The Avengers', but now they're called 'R.E.D.'; Reclusive and Extremely Dangerous.
There is no way to reverse what has been done, but to stop 'The Feral' from over powering them, they must travel over the river and through the woods to the last facility that has the serum to stop the eroding effects of the disease.

He was letting go, forgetting all of his problems as he focused on the pain. A chill came over him as he felt the tingling now under his finger nails, causing his fists to clench. "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea." He thought, opening his eyes. He was instantly overcome by intense pain that seeped onto his cornea. He screamed. His scream seemed to rip itself from his chest as he clutched at the walls. There was a pounding at the door as tears burned their own path down his cheek. They had found him.

When Alcine tends to the fire that night, the lady is already in bed, silver ringlets peeking out from underneath her nightcap. Her face is creased with sadness and her hands tremble as she plucks at the quilt. The rose rests on a pillow, its garish pink highlighted by the worn hue of her skin. The lady holds the mirror in one gnarled hand.
Almost ritually, the lady brings the mirror up high and says, "Show me the Beast."
