Summary
Continuation from Ancient Portal - told through Evan Lorne's eyes. Lorne has started to develop feelings for the Captain under his command - a pretty, green eyed marine named Terry who has only been in Atlantis for two weeks. He tries to keep his feelings separate from his command, but that proves increasingly difficult as some of their missions go wrong and he finds himself in the situation of having to protect her.
Terry develops a friendship with Gina, Colonel Sheppard's wife from 1962 and that PORTAL rears it's head once more as secrets from John Sheppards' own family tree become known.

Just maybe this time Xander can let his real personality show and his brains. There is nothing that he wouldn't do for his blood family, even cross the damn galaxy to find his wayward brother, though he was going to kick his ass when he finally found him for worrying everyone.
