Summary
In a small town in the Cascade Mountains, people are dying, bodies found mauled by some kind of beast. The Winchesters think it's a werewolf and plan to hunt it. Ex-cop Jim Ellison and his partner Blair are also hunting the creature. The four are uneasy allies, but Jim's suspicions of the brothers lead him to uncover their family secret.

I'm generally careful with stories on this topic, because it's so incredibly heard to stay true to canon characters with such things AND handle the topic gracefully. This story, though, is excellent, it had me at the edge of my seat with suspense throughout. It's a dark and sad premise, but the story is also about healing and getting better, and in spite of it all sometimes it had me loughing out loud about little things. Gripping plot, excellent characterisation!
