Summary
Done as a summary for Supernatural fans not familiar with the series. SPOILERS. SPOILERS. SPOILERS.
THIS IS NOT A PRIMER. I had friends who were never going to watch the series as a fan and wanted help with crossovers.
Section 1 - the Manticore myth-arc that occurs in both seasons in chronological - NOT REVEALED - order - SPOILERS! SPOILERS!! SPOILERS!!!
Section 2 - Character meta - focused on the X5s, Ben, Alec and Manticore as this is where most SPN Crossovers occur. The Jam Pony cast, the cracktastic tie ins with Tru Blood, Veronica Mars and Being Human are not included. SPOILERS! SPOILERS!! SPOILERS!!!
Section 3 - some meta/timeline debate on certain aspects of the show - Dark Angel rather notoriously changed tones from S1 to S2 and there was some retcon to the story. SPOILERS! SPOILERS!! SPOILERS!!! -

Summary
The fifth and final entry in my Hornblower commentaries in which all the annoying and evil people get their comeuppance and all the pretty people survive, and it turns out that Clive doesn't bother me as much as I thought but I really, really don't like Buckland. Here we go...

The fourth and most horribly difficult to write (at least until the next one) in my series of commentaries on Hornblower. From a commentary-writing point of view the structure of this episode is a nightmare. Anyway, that’s my problem not yours. Here we go...

Summary
These commentaries started out as 'early reactions to the series from someone who's just getting into it'. I've been so lax in writing them, though, that I've now watched it about a zillion times and they seem to be turning into 'vague commentary coupled with ramblings from someone who has thought about this waaaaaaaaaaayy too much'. Oh well, never mind. That's fun too. Here we go...

Round two of my commentaries (a much more appropriate term for these than 'review', I think) on the delightful series

Summary
Ok, so I don't think Horatio actually ever had a groove. How Horatio Got His Groove in The First Place might be a better title. Nevermind. This review should be a bit different from the others I've done; I usually only see BSG twice (the initial broadcast on Tuesday and then the repeat on Wednesday) before I write my review of it, whereas I have Hornblower on DVD so I've seen it
many manya few times. I will try to resist the urge to do a recap of Archie's every facial expression, but forgive me if I point out a few pause-button-worthy moments. Here we go...Series
