Summary
Outside the Slytherin dungeons, most people thought quite well of Charles Xavier. He was an exceptional student, a little reserved but impeccably polite to everyone, no matter their House or station, and never put on airs unlike the heirs of certain other old magical families.
In fact, his fellow students were occasionally to be heard wondering aloud how the Sorting Hat had placed him in the snake pit at all.
The year is 1949, and Erik Lehnsherr's in his seventh year at Hogwarts, as yet unaware that his world is about to change.

My name is Charles Xavier, I can read minds and use magic. I’ve met Kings and Queens, mages and magic users. I’ve travelled through lay-lines and jumped through the Dark Void… but none of that really matters.
I am leading an army into war, I am scared and I never wanted this. I’ve come to realise that what I want, rode into my life when I was still a child. Now he’s out there, ready to charge into battle. Ready to die for me.

In an effort to get out from under the thumb of his step-father, Charles chooses to become a courtesan for several minor nobles in King Erik's court. It is not long before he attracts the eye of the young king, and the Cardinal who holds the young king's ear. Charles spends months working to secure his place as King Erik's favorite and to regain his father's title of Merchant Prince. Charles hopes to disprove the old adage that once you enter the king's bed, you have nowhere to go but down.
A historical AU with alpha/omega dynamics (no heat). Not nearly as dark as the warnings might make it sound.

A war ends, and Queen Raven calls her best knight for one final request. She wants him to bring back her brother, who the Snow Queen took as tribute so many years ago. Getting him back is just half the battle, Erik will find.
The hands of the Snow Prince are long and smooth. His nails are even, short, and clean. There is no hair on the back of his fingers or knuckles, and- Erik tries to still his horror- no fingerprints. The tips of his digits have been worn smooth as the pebbles on a seashore.
