Summary
Edmund betrayed his brother Peter, the future High King, by attempting to give his siblings to The White Witch, Jadis. By the prophecy and Narian Law, he is still to be the 2nd King, but the ancient laws require punishment for his betrayal beyond a mere scolding. Aslan binds Edmund as a slave to his brother Peter, leaving the two of them to work out how Edmund's contradictory position should be handled.
