Summary
Fenris somehow discovers a loophole in Tevinter law regarding ownership of slaves, one that could remove any legal grounds Danarius has to pursue him: a magister's child by a slave is a freeman, and to ensure that the child is given its birthright, any slave pregnant by a magister becomes the property of the father. Tradition dictates that the slave is returned to the former owner after the child is born, but the law doesn't require it. Fenris only needs to get pregnant by a mage and unfortunately the only mage he knows is Anders.

She’s practically in his arms. The ferry only crosses every thirty minutes, and the ferrymaster packs passengers in with no regard for personal space. The boat rocks and she sways, brushing against hard plate. She feels pressure on the small of her back, briefly, and knows it’s his hand steadying her. She’d have to turn to talk to him, and then it would be real intimacy, and not the intimacy of convenience, so she stays where she is, feeling the bay roll under the boat as they sway together.

In between bouts of furious studying over the last few weeks, I was looking through the meme at very old, unfilled prompts and came across one that distracted me. And this happened.
Link to prompt below, but basically asked for Leandra not to die. Terrific! Then I had to imagine how that might happen, and I ended up with a modern OC woman, who's from an Earth ravaged by the third world war, and wakes up to find herself in Kirkwall. This thing went so pear-shaped, I wouldn't be surprised if no one bothered to read it, LOL!

The companions of Dragon Age are all kittens and nobody can resist the adorableness of a kitten. Anders is the most adorable ginger kitty you've ever seen and Fenris is practically Grumpy!Cat but with white fur and blue eyes so it takes everyone by surprise when he manages to scowl so menacingly. Everyone else seems to take on a form of their own.
They are 'Dragon Hunters', Anders is the only one who can sort-of-kind-of-read (He's like Dori from Finding Nemo in that area) and Varric goes around telling marvellous tales of Dragons from aviary picture books, so they tend to get Dragons and Birds mixed up and this is just a completely random set of their kitten adventures BUT MY HEAD TELLS ME ANGST AHEAD AND THERE IS NO REAL PLOT. THIS IS COMPLETE CRACK YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
This is to combat my writer's block because what better to combat writer's block THAN WITH CRACK!

Follow an elf named Athadra as she climbs out of the long shadow cast by the Circle Tower into a fight she never asked for, whose conclusion is far from forgone. She will know passion, betrayal, anger, terror, and maybe even a few laughs along the way.
Not a scene-by-scene reconstruction; there are several interesting deviations from the standard Origins game throughout. Trigger warning for non-consensual references in several places. Most chapters are 'Teen and Up,' especially for the first half of the story, but several later chapters involve graphic depictions of violence and some very sexual situations. Some of the more extreme chapters will eventually get links to their 'Teen and Up' equivalents at fanfiction.net, where the story is being mirrored.
