Summary
After being coerced by his roommate Dominick Cobb to take a class on the art and history of comic books, Arthur meets Eames, a cocky, British smartass, who after kicking the back of Arthur's chair in class one day to keep him awake has yet to break the habit. Arthur wants nothing to do with him, but upon discovering that Eames is good friends with Ariadne, (a girl he's been crushing on since meeting her last year in his physics class), decides to put up with his antics in order to get closer to her. Complications ensue when Arthur and Eames are paired up for the class project—creating their very own comic book. Herein lies a tale of deceit, misunderstandings, love lost, love found, and really, really bad comic books.

Summary
In a universe ruled by the masters of the City-Planets, Dominic Cobb and his friends are on the run for more than their lives. Dom's wife, Mal, has fallen prey to modification psychosis after being wired-in by Cobol, the true power behind the Gate-City.
Dom is in a wilderness of despair at the loss of his wife. His companions, drawn from the highest and lowest castes of the Gate-City long before, and knowing how much they owe him, do what they can to keep things together. But moving to a borderland space station, while they regroup from the devastation of their world, may prove to herald the worst things they could ever have imagined -- among them an old war that has never been settled.
Past, present and future collide and annihilate, most of all for Eames, the Psion soldier who controlled time's passage, and Arthur, the City-Soldier who sold his abilities for the chance to kill the Psions in the name of the Gates.

Past and present meet in surprising ways.
In the early days of illicit dreamshare, Mal and Dom Cobb are poised to take the extraction world by storm. All they need is a point man. Enter Arthur, a brilliant eighteen year old with a strange connection to dreamshare and a miserable work and living situation. As Mal, Dom, and Arthur begin to work on their first extraction together, the first incarnation of the team is born.
Fast forward nine years. Arthur is only one of the original team left in the business. Things have gotten dangerous in the extraction community, with the vague threat of a new generation of extraction teams that are forming and quickly becoming violent, ruthless in their pursuit to make it to the top. Unsurprisingly, the best team in the business is most at risk. Because of this, Arthur, Ariadne and Eames have to take...a short sabbatical to throw the violent new teams off their trail and get back on their feet. However, this is quickly interrupted when they are captured by enemies. The only difference from all the other times something similar has happened is this: it's real life, now.

Summary
It is 1946. Ira Eames is wealthy, a war hero, and a conman. Ireland McCullough was the son of a circus magician and madly in love with a young acrobat. Ireland McCullough disappeared in 1939, the same year Ira Eames enlisted in the Royal Navy to help fight the Second World War.
Ira Eames and Ireland McCullough are the same man, a man who's spent the last eight years of his life trying to escape the confines of his past and the overwhelming affection he's always felt for Arthur Petrov, afraid of the terrible kind of love that consumed Arthur's twin sister Mal and the intruder Dom Cobb. But now, nearly five years since he last saw her, Mal has fallen from the tightrope and Eames is on a train from Paris that will take him home.
But he's not the only passenger. Also on this train are Robert Fischer, an Interpol agent who wants Dom for a decade old murder, and a young woman named Ariadne, with dreams too big for the era she lives in. Eames must decide if he's going to help Robert Fischer make his arrest or protect a man he can hardly stand while he prepares Ariadne for the magical world she's joining. All the while he thinks back on the defining moments in his life, all of which revolve around Arthur.
