Summary
Every morning she ties a spray of flowers to each of their instrument cases for protection, and sends them on their unknown way. She swings until they are out of sight. Often she is still swinging upon their return, and if they ever wonder what else she does while they're gone, they don't ask. They never see the rifle hidden in the dead grass beneath her feet.
