Summary
Limited by a wheelchair, Sherlock works to figure out Moriarty’s mysteries and a new case. This time, all of London is in danger, and Sherlock has to solve the case before things go terribly wrong.
But he's distracted by thoughts of his past and some new emotions that he doesn't know how to handle, and the people he most cares about are running out of time.Lestrade receives an alarming picture in the email and begins to question Mycroft's actions. The one person he thought he could trust the most has somehow become his enemy.

This fic is structured very loosely around the song "Sometime Around Midnight" by the Airborne Toxic Event. It's not really a songfic, but if you know the lyrics to that song you'll definitely see how the plot follows along...at least for the first half. Then it get's smutty, y'all.

Summary
It started with phone calls to a stranger. When dialing the wrong phone number, a simple woman who works at a school daycare genuinely connects with the polite man on the other end. Benedict and Marlene by chance agree to call again, not that Marlene expected this to ever happen. Or that she would find out one day that the man she shared countless phone conversations with would turn out to be Benedict Cumberbatch. She expected normalcy, and instead found Sherlock's best actor.
And Benedict got everything he wanted. A female friend, someone who could endlessly come up with a topic, who didn't mind if he went off in a rant. So when friendship turns into like, the kind akin to love, he struggles with how to make his move. Not knowing that Marlene likes him back and has liked him since before the moment they officially met.
Developing relationship story. It will carry on until the day that I think Benedict and Marlene have properly lived their lives. Or until they deserve a sequel. Please read and comment!

Augmentation circuits report temperature, pressure, various forms of quantitative input. Sudden changes are reported as pain, since sudden changes are dangerous, and pain is the quickest way to encourage reflexive extraction.
But all John can manage is, “Nng.”
Because this sudden touch is not reporting as pain.
