Summary
Dirk Strider is a deep-sea diver falling on hard times. Jake English, son of a distinguished Navy Fleet Admiral, is a runaway looking for an adventure. When the sea beckons, they begin a grand journey off the shining shores of Kitty Hawk, seeing in each other just the opportunity that the other was looking for. But when their adventure goes sour and they find themselves stranded on an unfamiliar island, it is only through teamwork, courage, and maybe a little heart (and/or “mapping of some undiscovered territory”) that they can hope to survive. That is, if the island natives don't get them first.

Eine stürmische Nacht auf See sorgt dafür, dass Hermine und einige andere der Abschlussklassen Slytherins und Gryffindors auf einer unbekannten Insel Schiffbruch erleiden. Zu ihrem Glück sind sie nicht allein, denn das ungesellige Oberhaupt der Slytherins hat es ebenfalls zu ihnen verschlagen und sie schaffen es mit der Hilfe ihres Professors über die Runden zu kommen. Nach und nach finden sie immer mehr über diese Insel heraus und müssen feststellen, dass sie weder so einsam, noch so gewöhnlich ist wie sie anfangs angenommen hatten. Während sie noch nach einem Ausweg suchen von der Insel zu entkommen verändern sich auch die Gefühle zwischen Hermine und Severus für einander.
