My attempt to evoke what fandom must have felt like, long long ago when there was no internet to deliver like-minded friends right to your door:
Glenda's just an ordinary little loner-girl, when Peggy comes along and shows her how to be a fan. They giggle, they share their embarrassing little fantasies. Then Peggy's dreams go further than Glenda can handle, and after that it's too late.
There is literally nothing that is disturbing in the slightest, in this story. That is because it took a lot less to disturb a girl, back in the mid 60's.
