Summary
Castiel, Sam and Dean Winchester are on their way to investigate the Death of Gary Freleng in Oklahoma City (8.08 Hunteri Heroici). One moment they are riding in the Impala, and the next they awakened out by a campfire in Kansas in 1908.....
Some Supernatural force has plucked our trio right out of their natural timeline and dropped them into the Wild Wild West. Now they have to unravel the mystery of how they got there before Castiel can bring them all back. But what force could possibly be powerful enough to send them through space and time like this? And what purpose do they serve by being there? And who are the mysterious three travelers they encounter in the small town of Sanctuary, Kansas?

Posted on my LJ flist many moons ago by Bwhouwant2be: A couple of days ago I was listening to the radio and "Rodeo" by Garth Brooks came on. I immediately got this image of Christian as a rodeo cowboy. I didn't have time to write it that day but after I finished all my stuff last night...this morning...whatever and I couldn't sleep, I wrote it. If anybody would like it, please take it. I cannot write it. I don't have the time to do the extensive research my brain tells me is required.
I adopted her bunny and have attempted to do it the justice it deserves. My contribution begins after Steve moves back home. The title was borrowed from Willie Nelson’s song Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys.

The sun hung high in the noon sky, beating down onto Sheriff Robert “Bobby” Singer's back; his sweat seeping into his shirt which clung desperately to the curve of his back. He held his cream white hat to the ball of his head, preventing it from flying off, while he looked up into the sky. Others had begun to gather around him, townspeople gapping up at the sky. Most of them had never seen a real life dragon before. They were rare in these parts. Bobby spat out onto the ground. It was going to be a long day … There was a great displacement of air, as the beast swooped down, and then much less gracefully than they'd ever been rumored; fell to the ground in a heap. There, on the dragons back, rode a dragon-rider. He was well known around these parts. His picture was posted on every bulletin from the Mississippi to the far west coast. Which meant that the dragon, currently wailing on the dusty ground and flapping his wings maniacally, was the gunslingers partner.

Gabriel comes up with a better plan to take on Lucifer. It involves bringing Dean, Sam and Cas with him on a trip to visit his old friend Samuel Colt and convince/harass him to make a new Colt, one that can kill archangels. Lucifer isn't exactly happy with this plan. It's the Apocalypse 1830s style, with horses, saloons, rotgut whiskey, and quick draw gunfights between angels and humans. Plus Cas in a cowboy hat.
