...So you know the moment in Friends where Rachel drunkenly calls Ross and says she's got closure? I E/R-ed it up. With some added Les Amis shenanigans (think Courfeyrac and Grantaire talking like drunk teenage girls, but with a bit less crying).

Summary
There’s only one empty chair in their usual corner of the Musain, but that’s all it takes. The whole back room is blanketed in a deathly hush, voices speaking only in gentle whispers. Everyone skirts the vicinity of the chair, but no-one’s eyes can leave it; it suddenly becomes the centre of the room, the focus point around which they all slowly circle. At this moment, it seems very hard, and almost wrong, to imagine that they could recover from this – that maybe Courfeyrac will be able to smile brightly again, that Enjolras’ fervour will return full-force, that Eponine will return to her feisty self and even Cosette will likely return – and so they don’t.
They skirt around the empty chair, and stare, as if looking long enough will make them accept that Marius is not there and will not return.

There's always money in the banana stand.
(And where Courfeyrac unsuccessfully tries releasing a rap album with a puppet, Éponine somehow cons her way into a job as a film executive, and Mr. and Mrs. Thénardier accidentally adopt a French child, and name him "Salut", which is actually just the French word for 'Hi'.)

The rally that day was the biggest to date. The streets were filled with crowds. No one anticipated a turn out like this. Enjolras was sure that the people would rise to his cause, support his friends. Freedom was so close he could taste it in the air. Strangely it seemed to have a metallic tang to it, like blood.
