Based off prompt-Placidus ends up descovering that the centurion and his ex-slave are fuck buddies, no idea how he learned of this..maybe during a visit he made to their farm.
So, Placidus has a 'brilliant' idea and decides to blackmail Esca for sex, otherwise he would not hesitate to tell everyone about their dirty little secret and with this, destroy Marcus' reputation. Unfortunately for him, his plan goes horribly wrong, because Esca has absolutely NO intention of bedding him, and on top of that, he now threatens to cut off Placidus dick!

With his best pal Liathan they collect "protection money" from owners of small businesses (and sometimes he shows those who don't want to pay why they need protection). For some mysterious reason mr.Aquila is excused from paying his share- but it has probably something to do with Esca fucking Marcus, mr.Aquila lame nephew, behind his shop every monday. Give me some dubcon, rogue sex and dark Esca! Also i won't say no to some tragic story where Marcus got lame because he told "no" to the guy who was collecting money before Esca."

Summary
Written for the kinkmeme prompt 'After the Quest, Esca buys from a druid he knows near Calleva a magic potion. This special potion ensure that the drinker loses his inhibitions towards the person he is in love with. Esca thinks Marcus is in love with a girl but is too shy to declare his love. He wants more than anything else for his beloved friend and brother in arm to be happy, so he pours the potion in his drink, even if it tears at his heart.
He is surprised but overwhelmed when Marcus comes to him after supper, whereas he expected to be deserted. Marcus, having lost his inhibitions, does what he always wanted to do in his heart of hearts. Esca is swept off his feet. Of course, Marcus worries the morning after that he may have imposed on Esca. The latter reassures him

"Marcus blinks and rubs at his tired eyes, staring at the wax tablet, stylus hanging loosely in his hand. He has been recalculating the figures, pebbles clicking on the counting board, until the numbers swim before his sight, and he feels more and more worried every time they come out the same. The farm is not producing enough to feed him and Esca and pay the field-hands, and little remains of the money Marcus received from the senate for retrieving the Eagle of the Ninth Legion Hispana. This bad harvest is the last bad harvest they can afford, and it does not seem likely that Marcus will discover a gift for farming now."

Originally a kinkmeme fill for body paint porn, this developed 19,175 words of plot (the second chapter is historical notes), and an amazing illustration by Motetus. Note: there is a non-explicit reference to Marcus (age 16-17ish) having a consensual sexual relationship with an older man; they are both adults in their culture.
