This is Part 2 of a 4 part Series.
Well written, nice build-up to first time. Nice mysteries and clever plotty bits. Just a nice meaty S/J story that is long and satisfying. Definitely recommending. :-)

So Irene Adler is canonically a New Jersey con artist, a fact which has gotten more hilarious with each year that’s passed since Conan Doyle first wrote it, and that begs to be taken advantage of. Also, someone needs to write the crossover fic in which Hawaii Five-0’s Danny and Irene Adler are cousins. Unless it’s already been written, in which case, please link me. :D

A series of events that show John just how real he has become to Sherlock – like a bright, brilliant flash of colour in an otherwise greyscale world.
But these things don’t matter at all, because once you are Real you can’t be ugly, except to people who don’t understand.
Notes: This story grew from the idea that perhaps Sherlock sees the world in flashes of colour and that the people who are ‘real’ to him – Mycroft, Lestrade, Mrs Hudson - all register against the black and white of his surroundings. Then John comes along and he’s so bright and impossible for Sherlock to ignore. John won’t let him just observe things; he makes him live them.

Based a little upon the children's storu, The Velveteen Rabbit, but you don't need to know it to understand. The children's story is about a toy rabbit that at first is just one of the toys, but one night the little boy takes him to bed and it becomes the favoured toy, loved until the button eyes fall off the and hair is worn away. And when the child is older and the toy is put out for trash, the rabbit beomes a real rabbit - for having being loved so, he has become real.

Sweet and touching story, this spin on the tale for Sherlock is just as good.

It's refreshing to see a mutant/human AU where Erik is the human and Charles the mutant. This is a meticulously built AU nicely balanced in how it does and doesn't match the plot of the movie.
