“He would talk to you, you know,” Tony called after him. “If you’d let him. If you treated him like a person sometimes instead of a threat.”
Clint paused, that one hitting home. He deserved it. Maybe they all did. But the truth, too, was important, and that’s what Clint gave Tony as he turned to give him one last look before leaving for his rooms:
“He is a threat, Tony. And the quicker you and he get to accepting that, the quicker this torture can end.”
In which Tony, Bruce, Clint, Pepper, and others have to face reality, and don't like how it looks.

Tony was not a team player, and he knew it. He was loud and obnoxious and self-centered, and he had done more harm than good in his life. He didn't deserve to have anyone watching his back, but he felt like maybe they deserved to have him watching theirs. So, when he saw the sad, sorry living conditions of the other Avengers, he couldn't help but do something about it.

Before the Battle of Manhattan, Phil Coulson was an Alpha agent and had a command of his agents, fiercely protective of every one under his command like all good Alphas are.
After, as he's recovered in a secret SHIELD hospital, he comes off of a medication that he's been using to hide his real gender the whole time. And there are severe bodily consequences that come from using that medication for so long.
Throw in the Avengers, half-formed bonds with too many people, and the emotional constipation of just about everyone in SHIELD and you have a nightmare.

For this prompt from the kink meme, which goes a little something like this:
Rarely, a person is born with the ability to shapeshift into animal forms, with the form(s) they can take determined by what animals they grew up with and had emotional bonds with and understanding of. Therefore, most shapeshifters take the forms of domestic animals like cats and dogs.
Once a shapeshifter is identified, they soon disappear, be it to labs for research or to billionaires as exotic collectibles. Especially if the form they can take is in any way unusual.
And Clint grew up in a circus.
In which Tony discovers that Clint is sometimes a tiger with a past. Or rather, that Clint is sometimes a tiger, and also has a past.
