After all, Phil had been dead. Stark had been dead. Hell, Thor had been dead. The whole being dead thing apparently wasn't a terminal condition, because all of them were fine now.
And Clint knew that Natasha would never let Stark beat her at anything—including staying alive—so he knew that she wasn't dead. Or, if she was, she wasn't going to stay that way. No one else did.

When Phil walked up to the reception, the clerk behind the desk smiled warmly in greeting. “It is a pleasure to see you again, Mr Coulson,” he said. “How may I help you this evening?”
When tragedy strikes at the Savoy Hotel, a beautiful socialite is found dead in her room. Her prized possesion, the Blue Star Diamond is stolen amongst the chaos. Detective Inspector Sitwell of Scotland Yard calls on the famous detective Phillip Coulson for help on the case.
