Notes
Yes, it's the old "Lucius and Harry have to no choice but to have sex in order save themselves" plot. In Hijja's hands, this chestnut works well, mainly because she takes the time to set the sex in a broader, if far from overly articulated, narrative.
Hijja seems to be taking a very Amanuensis-like approach in content and style. With slightly less non-con than a typical Amanuensis story, it still dances around issues of power and consent in a way Amanuensis's fans would appreciate.
It isn't without its flaws, of course. Harry seems to become turned on in the presence of Dementors just a little too easily for my taste. There is a certain amount of unnecessary repetition in the descriptions. Lucius snarls and smirks too much.
But these are small complaints and many of the sexual descriptions, particularly as the sex reaches its climax, are excellent. So, too, is the care with which the scenario for the sex is, not only set up, but concluded. There is a fair amount of elegant plot here for a PWP.
