Summary
Trailing his fingers tenderly up his lover’s arm, just softly enough not to wake him, Grantaire brushed a blond curl off his forehead. Enjolras stirred, the corners of his mouth tilting upwards in a gentle smile, but he remained asleep.
His golden hair fell around his face in loose curls, almost brushing his pale shoulders when he became too distracted by his work to remember to get it cut. With a report due in a couple of days, such was currently the case. A smile playing over his features, Grantaire wound a few soft, blond strands gently around his fingers. He loved Enjolras’ hair. Loved to watch the sunlight play off it, to run his fingers through it, to fist his hands into sweaty curls when they held each other close, bodies entwined beneath the sheets.
Everything about the fair-haired man was beautiful, almost ethereal. It was incredible to hear a voice so strong, words so powerful, emerging from those delicate, pink lips.
Grantaire loved to watch Ares’ fire blazing through Apollo’s veins.
At first, Grantaire hadn’t believed for a minute that his feelings could be reciprocated. Frankly, it was fucking ridiculous to even entertain the idea.
It would be Apollo falling for Hephaestus.
