Decades of tradition, excellence, and acrobatics came to a grinding halt the day the tight rope snapped and Mary Winchester fell to her death.
26 years later, Dean has to juggle an alcoholic father (who has spells of madness wherein he insists Mary's death was a conspiracy plot), a brother (who would rather be a lawyer than carry on the family business), running the show that the two of them left in his hands, and making sure his own act doesn't suffer. On top of it all, he doesn't trust that damn "family lawyer and financier" Crowley as far as he can spit.
He thinks his life is complicated enough already, but when Sam goes behind his back and hosts a private audition for a new acrobat, things get a whole new level of messy. Dean isn't quite sure what to make of Castiel and his refusal to talk about his past, but finding out where Cas comes from takes a backseat to the bigger problem when Dean finds out that his father may not be quite so mad after all!
