Let’s talk about being the last one left.

    No, really, think about it:

You get a call in the middle of the night, in the little flat you can just barely afford, and you are told there has been an accident.

Think about it, that moment– you scramble over everyone you know, everyone you love, and try to figure out where they all are that night. There are things rushing in your gut, your fingertips, your lungs, your ears– there are words in your ears as the tinny, sympathetic voice starts to tell you: it is everyone.

    Summary

Caspian X, a captain of Telmar, a man who was orphaned by fate, unaware of his heritage, and uncaring of anything beyond the thrill of the sale, and the joyful abandon of life at sea, was a man without root, cause, or care. His only worries beyond seeing to his family ship La Ysobel and his crew, was fending off the frequent thefts from his uncle, Miraz. An annoying rivalry that added a bit of spice to the young man's life, nothing more. It was during a retaliatory raid that an intriguing acquisition came into his hands...

Unlike anyone else alive, she was rare, curious, and a prize without compare.

Three Pevensies may have been brought to defeat the White Witch, but the fourth was sent forward to ensure the security of Aslan's people.

Every Narnian parent told their children the tale of Narnia’s creation and the tree that protected them from the evil witch. The tale said that when the tree as old as Narnia dies, Aslan’s protection will be broken and the witch will return. Indeed, that very winter a terrible storm had ravaged Narnia, and it blew the tree over.

    Summary

Let’s talk about a Susan who never moved on, who buried her family in English soil and spent the rest of her life trying to find her way home. She did not believe lions were kind, but she always remembered a bow in her schoolgirl hands.

She looked in every old wardrobe she came across. It was casual, everyday– the first day in a new lecture hall, she checked the back of the coat closet. Friends had her over for Christmas dinner and she excused herself to go the bathroom, checked every cabinet and closet, and then headed back in for pudding. She went home with a cute boy she met in a smoky little pub and she checked his wardrobe before she headed home the next morning, heels in hand.

She also went to college, got a political science degree she had to fight for. She got a byline in the local paper, a few ladies’ magazines, then a larger regional publication.

She had mimosa brunches with friends. She read detective novels, never touched fantasy, and finally one day she stepped through an old stone archway barely thinking about it and–-

She was standing in a treeless plain, all yellow grass and blue blue skies.

    Summary

"You’ve all grown so much," their mother says.

Edmund is too young to register, but older now than he was at his first war; Lucy, who had been so young when they had left, grew into herself in a world filled with magic. All of them, they have responsibility pressed into their shoulders, old ropes they can’t even grasp for. No one is asking them to take that mantle on their shoulders, and that’s the hardest part. You get used to the weight. You build your world around it, build your identity into the crooks and crannies of the load you carry.

Susan has forgotten about being a child. She is the blessed, the chosen, the promised. Susan has decades on her classmates, wars, loss and betrayal, victory and growing fields, the trust of her subjects. It was a visceral thing, to have all those lives under her protection and to know that her subjects slept safe, peacefully, on dark nights.

Here, on this drab concrete, her people are untouchable, indefensible; her self is vanished, her kingdom gone; she can feel the loss like a wound. She has lost her power, but that trust, that responsibility remains. It circles her ankles, trips her in the school hallways.

Harry Potter meets Dean Thomas as a kid and they become best friends. One of Dean's mums, Susan, tells them fairytales about Narnia, about faith and power and cleverness. She warns them not to put their faith in thoughtless gods and old, "wise" men, to swear at the powerful and pray to no one but themselves.
    Their world changes.

Greg Parker's never believed in magic; never really given it a second thought. Lancelot and Alanna have never lived in the non-magical world; never been out of England. In the aftermath of a Death Eater attack, the first since the end of the Second Wizarding War, all three are in for one heck of a surprise.

Toronto and the SRU will never be the same as magic and technology intersect; clashing and interacting in equal measure.

Stories a Mother Raven tells her dear child. Edmund-centric. The kid knew what he was doing okay. He made out like a bandit in narnia. Or my explanation on what he got instead of gifts from Aslan and Nickolas. Also what he ripped from Aslan's paws because Aslan is just too nice (not really Aslan is kind of a dick in this series sorry).
