She sees the way the two of them react to each other - all bright and teasing, like they're more than content to just be within each other's presence, and that's enough to make them happy. But there's more to it than that, a longing gaze and clenched fists, like they want to reach out and touch but for some (stupid) reason they don't think they can. So Lydia's gonna ensure that her beloved best friend opens up his eyes and realizes that he can be even happier, if he'd just let himself. Same goes with the Alpha. She'd see it happen before they graduated from Berkeley, and that was just a fact.
