Dean made Sam a promise when Sam was fifteen that he’d stop hunting when Sam went to college, so after Sam started Stanford, Dean tried to make a life for himself outside of hunting. He ended up rooming with Jensen Ackles, a guy he met when he was in Texas for a hunt on a college campus where Jensen was attending school. They got along great and everything was fine until Jensen talked Dean into going to an open call for a part as an extra on the show Angel, changing his life forever.
