This story was inspired by the thought of Prince William of Wales (and indeed the current Max von Hapsburg) studying at the University of St Andrews; it is also, as the title suggests, at least a little inspired by the operetta 'The Student Prince'.

Summary
Sherlock Holmes had his first experience of sex when he was sixteen years old, with a girl who was the daughter of his father's buisiness partner, helped along with a stolen bottle of scotch and a rather ancient looking condom stolen from the wallet of an obnoxious party guest. Somehow, eleven years and three months later, he's faced with ten year old John Watson.
No Intention - Sherlock Holmes has utterly no Intention of allowing his life to be disrupted by the fact that he procreated and has decided to allow the offspring to be his flatmate.
A series of Firsts - As John settles into the Holmes family, they all experience a few firsts and remember a few others.
Every Intention - As the father of fourteen year old John, Sherlock is now confident that life will be much simpler; John can walk himself to school, make food (almost) and no-one shots him horrified looks when the boy tags along to crimescenes. Which is great becasue there's a serial suicide going around...

Stiles gets a tattoo when he turns eighteen. Derek notices. Quietly.

The tattoo is vein-like and strange, but it’s so very…right. It’s not necessarily a picture, but free-flowing lines that wind around his arm and dip and dance around his scars. It makes him feel free, makes him feel powerful.
He goes in for his second tattoo when he’s about to leave for school in Southern California.
It's not so much of a second one as a continuation. He decides that, though the pattern isn't of branches it acts like them, so he branches it down over his shoulder and down to the center of his back, kind of like draping a toga. At the center of his back the lines concentrate and sort of circle. He adds a splash of jade-shaded almond shapes and feels stronger somewhere deep inside.
