Eventually, John will grow up into a respectable young man, full of bright ideas and a wonderful future. But for now, he is simply a young, innocent, and impressionable child, trying to figure out how to be a person and find happiness through friendships and romance.

Sherlock begins to suspect that his feelings for John go a bit beyond "best mates". Just as he begins the difficult task of deducing his own heart a figure from his past arrives looking for help, an event that means the detective has to make his decision quicker than anticipated.

Despite their parents’ death and having to drop out of school at the tender age of 16, Bro has never resented raising his baby brother Dave. But the time comes for Dave to grow up and Bro finds it difficult to stay in his role of guardian. Dave has his own ideas on how to grow up, and takes advantage of Bro’s newfound inexperience. Things finally seem to be settling into a new status quo when pandemonium strikes yet again. Court dates and accusations of child abuse fly, and Dave is taken away. Bro now has the choice to make: let bygones be bygones, or find a way to keep his brother close despite the separation.

Summary
Mycroft is worried after Sherlock OD's and ends up in the hospital, especially since something seems very off about his brother. John, alone after his honorable discharge, seeks out a flatmate in Sherlock and the two set off on a series of adventures, solving mysteries like following a trail straight to the criminal mastermind: Jim Moriarty.
Along the way, John and Sherlock fall hard for each other, finding inspiration for life in one another that they've been desperately craving. Sherlock, however, is hiding a dark secret.
