Summary
It's generally not good form to post something and then lace it with a ton of caveats. But I'm going to anyway. This is the very first work of fan fiction I ever wrote. It's the furthest thing from perfect I can imagine. But it is what led me to everything else (including taking on a beta, which is the best thing anyone can do for themselves), so I can't begrudge its MANY flaws. It relies too heavily on in-game dialogue, some moments are too stunted, and the action is sometimes vague and too brief. But there are still things I love about it. Read it with that in mind, and I hope you'll enjoy the story I built around Thane and Shep. . .who were my first OTP.
