Summary
“I know I ought to be here,” says Will, “I just don’t think ‘ought’ has very much to do with it.”
Another quiet, still, changing-everything moment, and Hannibal leans back in his chair, the long, lithe lines of his body betraying nothing but exactly what he wishes them to betray, and then--
--and then Hannibal Lecter smiles.

Summary
Will is a feast. Hannibal partakes.
Will laughs, and Hannibal lets him, and he does not take Will’s neck in his mouth with a viper’s speed, and he does not bite until he can feel the crunch of bone and the taste of living meat. And Hannibal thinks it is worth it, to wait for these things, because you do not rush through a good meal.

Summary
"Do you hunt?" Will asks the question while they are eating, with his eyes on his plate and to the side, though they lift marginally to trail the path of Hannibal's fork when he draws it from his mouth and turns it in his hand. Pointed prongs face down toward the table as he lowers it, un-threatening.

Summary
It’s somewhere during college that he starts to lose it. The sharp strokes of an accent he hadn’t even realized he owned. It slips away in stops and starts, flavoring his words with an odd lilt that people notice immediately, their attention shifting from what he’s saying to how he’s saying it. hannibalkink response

Summary
Bedelia knows what Hannibal is hiding and for a very good reason. Him not allowing her respite is grating on her, and she is finding it hard to control her own dark thoughts. Hannibal is not going to get away with controlling her very much longer. Before her and especially before Will Graham, she had been convinced that his capacity to feel love and empathy was extremely limited if not non existent, but now she is beginning to see him in a different light.
