The laugh rumbles low in the vampire’s chest. “And it’ll be your blood that is spilled.”
A shiver goes down Alec’s spine like a flame, reigniting his fighting spirit. “Get – off,” he gasps, but no amount of struggle frees him from the vampire’s grip. His wrist stings, and then burns, fiery pain shooting to his fingertips. Broken, he vaguely registers.
His entire world is breaking.
