Martin is Female-to-male. Except his family was not very accepting. At all. And if he ever wants to visit home, he has to go as a woman. Some event happens that he really really wants to attend so he does as expected and dresses the part.Of course Douglas just happens to be in the area and catches him in the act, surrounded my family. He finds Martin dressed as a woman hilarious. And a family member tries to explain that Martin has deceived him, that he really is a girl and it's when he's dressing himself as a man that he is being ridiculous. To which Douglas says something to the effect of 'if you think Martin's anything other than a man, no matter what plumbing he was born with, then you're completely delusional; he's never seen anyone worse at being a lady in his life'. And then he mocks Martin. Relentlessly. In a good way. Until Martin doesn't know whether to be grateful that Douglas sees him as a man or want to strangle him.
