And it is, in some ways. Blaine can stay on his feet longer, can eat more in one sitting, isn’t afraid to be touched (mostly). He has someone to spend his days with and a warm place to sleep. Each day is easier than the last, but it’s never just that. There’s always something -- the sound of sirens outside, the accidental upturn of a hand that causes Blaine to flinch and cower, the bowl of food he can never quite seem to finish, the night the power goes out and Blaine whines in the dark. But today is different.
