Written for a prompt on the Feelsmeme:
Clint is set to start as a probationary agent at SHIELD. He's not sure what his life will be like after he starts work, so he takes advantage of his last night/weekend and picks up a guy at the bar. The guy is older than him, sarcastic, but funny and hot and they have a fantastic time.
When Clint shows up at SHIELD for his orientation, it turns out the guy he slept with is Phil Coulson. Maybe Phil's also new at SHIELD, just transferred from another agency, or it's his first go at being a handler without supervision. How do they deal with the awkwardness of the one night stand, and more importantly, how do they deal with the fact they would both like the relationship to continue, and possibly become something more.
