Boromir is in Rivendell by order of his father, and he is not exactly thrilled to be there. The first night of his trip, one of the Elves approaches him and returns an important possession that he unknowingly lost. The two become friends, but it gradually becomes more than Boromir thinks he can really handle. It ends when he has to leave with the Fellowship.
