Bolin is still struggling with his helmet; it's a large, supposedly, but a little too snug anyway. Finally it pops off his head, leaving his hair sticking out in all directions. "Well . . . it's nicer than most of the places I've lived, for sure," he says. "Seems like a step down from your last place, though."
Bolin helps Asami move in.

Summary
In the aftermath of the shocking displacement of power within Republic City, from the crushing defeat of the Equalists, to an upswing of supporters of Avatar Korra, the city itself has been left without a major criminal power vying for the underworld.
To combat this, newly reinstated chief of police Lin Bei Fong begins a massive recruiment program for new officers to the Metal Bending Corps to form a more diverse police force of benders and non-benders alike. When an incident with a remnant faction of equalists causes Bolin, Tahno and Asami to be shouldered with the blame for the destruction of an entire street of Republic City, the trio are left with the choice of paying a devastating fine, or working off their debt by joining in on Lin Bei Fong's recruitment ambitions.
Thus with a city to protect, and Mako and Korra out of focus, Bolin and Asami form a team. Tahno too.
