Summary
The calling card said Tristan Jarrett, Viscount Penrith. Beneath that, in a lazy scrawl, was the addendum Mr Acklebury, be so good as to wait on me tomorrow, number 10, Half Moon Street. Yours, &c., Penrith. Mr Acklebury was not sure how he felt about being thus summarily commanded to paint his lordship's portrait.

But what we don't know is that the season number was actually supposed to be 20 episodes. Something happened. Jensen calls it The Event. Jared doesn't have a word for it, but he has feelings, nightmares... and bruises.
The confession of Jared and Jensen's love for each other is the result of a terrible and cruel moment. Let's divide it in five parts. Times two. And in reverse.Bookmarked by elizabethwcu

Summary
Sometimes, when they're close like they are now, Stiles wonders if Derek is seducing him. He wonders if the fingers rubbing calming circles into his thigh and the warm, salty breath against his neck are maneuvers to earn his trust. He wonders about Derek's plans, if—once he has Stiles fooled—Derek will rip his throat out.
The thoughts might seem paranoid, except that's exactly what Stiles did to Peter.

Summary: This is a Chuck fanfic. I think of it mainly as a character study piece, myself, for Ellie and for Bryce Larkin (and, to some extend, for Chuck, himself, too), but I suppose that it is technically slash, though I don’t think it truly deviates from the show’s canon, all things considered. If you are not familiar with the (fairly) new TV show Chuck, then by all means, go forth and watch it, please. It is made of awesome!

Summary
An unknown magic-user in disguise is stirring up the people with his daring rescue bids – at great personal risk he is bringing people on dragonback out of Camelot to safety in Caerleon. Rumour has it that he leaves a calling card with a picture of a flower emblazoned upon it at the site of each rescue. The common people have started to call him “The Amber Rose”.
Inspired by The Scarlet Pimpernel, by Baroness Orczy. The Pimpernel of course is the original, much imitated, hero in disguise; inspiration for Zorro, for Batman, and the immortal Hong Kong Phooey (number one super guy!).
The divergence from canon is blatant; characters and situations from several series are all mixed up to suit my purposes. Sorry if this jars.

Summary
The history books had it right, Tony thinks bitterly as he rests against Liagoth's massive side, the smooth slide of scales and the warmth of her inner flame a stark contrast to the steel walls of the cell he's just been rescued from. He'd been a fool, to let them get so close, to think he had any family beside his dragon and Pepper, beautiful Pepper who's asleep in the richly appointed room behind him, courtesy of the Asgardians who'd been so eager to offer asylum to one of the last Dragon-Chosen in the nine realms.
The history books had it right, when they wrote about the emperors and kings of old, toppled from their thrones. He rose to the top of the world, only to be torn down and betrayed by those he considered his nearest and dearest.

Summary
A poison is infecting the land around the Lonely Mountain.
Greenwood has been infected into Mirkwood and Dale’s farm lands can no longer fully support Dale, let alone the Dwarves of Erebor.
In hopes of easing the burden on the land, their eyes turn to the West, where their allies in the Blue Mountains have informed them of a peaceful and fertile land called the Shire.
Thrain sends his best representative, Balin, to the Shire to offer an alliance with the Hobbits that reside there, in hopes of opening a trade route between them.
However, the residents of the Shire are hesitant to offer such an alliance with the Dwarves, when Thráin offers a political marriage between his son, the Crown Prince Thorin Oakenshield, and one of the Shire’s choosing to be a proper representative of the Shire. They have only one question; would Thráin take offense if the Hobbit in question was not…perfect.
His response is 'no', and thus one Bilbo Baggins was sent to Erebor to be married to Heir Apparent Thorin Oakenshield.
But no one really expected Bilbo.
