Summary
“Really, Ethan? We’re not screwed? Because we’re now in the middle of a nameless jungle in Kalimantan with no connection and weaponry except those bows and arrows. We’re surrounded by at least a dozen armed men and five miles away from our extraction point, which is an open field, by the way, so we don’t have the option of sneaking away. We’ve just sent a message to the Headquarter that we finished the mission so they are not likely to be eager to look for us. Oh, and in case you didn’t realize, you are bleeding. We are quite screwed, in my opinion.”

Summary
“Mm.” Ethan no longer sounds businesslike, as he usually is on missions. His voice is lower and more intimate. “It’s a shame we can’t use names over comms. This would be much more effective that way.”

Summary
Ethan's plan is surprisingly simple, if they can pull it off: get Cade to invite Brandt over, plant bugs. No masks, no jumping off of anything. Brandt is warming to it, which is why it's confusing when Benji says, "I don't like this plan, it won't work, have you thought about tunneling?"

Dr Christine Smith had never seen Secretary Anderson look anything but perfectly dressed. So it was a surprise to see a rather paranoid and rumpled Secretary in front of her. It wasn't like he was crazy; he was just the target of revenge by the Avengers for what he had done to one of their own. - Sequel to 'When a plan comes together'

Summary
It’s an automated message; he gets a similar one when he calls Brandt’s phone, as well as Jane’s and Ethan’s. One wouldn’t have surprised him, but all three? Those messages are only activated when agents are sent out on missions.
