Turns out the reason was that Jared has some fantasies about demon-tainted Sam being sexily punished by a smitey angel. At some point he gets drunk and talks about this to Misha, and he and Misha act out a few extra scenes of their own."This is my fill, and that's pretty much exactly what happens:
Jared and Misha have been together for a while, and they head to a bar after one of Jared's interviews. An indeterminate number of tequila shots later, Jared confesses his fantasy of Sam being punished by Castiel, and Misha decides a little overtime is in order. -
