Sherlock opened his eyes at that. “As a doctor, it should be readily apparent to you that there is only a partial body in our refrigerator. Popular horror stories notwithstanding, it’s rare for an entire corpse to fit into one this size. I had to cut the body up into several parts to pack it in, and there is still only seven eighths of it there.”
John stared at the ceiling. “That’s... not better.”

Set in Avengers Tower because I'm in the middle of reading a FABULOUS crossover in which John punches Sherlock once he shows up at the Tower. This is my take on what would happen had that happened.
Essentially, the team stares at Sherlock making tea, Johnlock bicker like, well, long-lost lovers reunited after one of them faked their death and didn't tell the other one, and John jump Sherlock, but not in the way you're thinking (or probably hoping.)Inspiration thanks to the beautiful fic by DullYellowEye called 'In Which Neither Coulson nor Sherlock are Dead (and John sort of joins the Avengers) :D It's beautiful. After he's lost Sherlock, nothing happens to ordinary John Watson....and then life gets very interesting again. John's coping (barely) with Sherlock's loss, even though a part of him doesn't believe Sherlock's dead.
Turns out, that part of him is right.
John and Sherlock reunite and are sequestered in a safe house in Chelsea while they try to work out how to put a stop to the constant threats on their lives, and try even harder to come to terms with what's passed between them, before and after the Fall.

There is this machine. No one has used it, no one seems to want to, and what it does is VASTLY unclear, really. Then add in a sad, insecure, murderous Clown trying to otherwise occupy himself, and that's what happens.
Karkat is terrified and confused, but John is sad (really, really sad) because this means a lot of things (most of them "Not Very Good" and one or two Very, Very Bad). It helps clear up the flip-flopping for him, anyway.
OR: Where in a button is pushed and John has to help KK and GZ figure out everything again and maybe add a few quadrants, wether they want to or not. It is sad and not for the weak of heart feels.
