What happens after we reach our dreams? Rainbow Dash spent years as the star of the Wonderbolts. She'd flown hard, far, fast, tight, and each wing-beat didn’t send her closer to the sun, but further down to earth.

Summary
This is a rough sequel to my friend Mabus’s story Blood Line. I was neck deep in the beta for his story when he gave me his blessing to write a follow up. It says something of my character that I took a short story that was written on a lark and turned it into a novel length drama.
In Blood Line Buffy becomes a vampire before she’s chosen. She rules Sunnydale with an iron fist for seven years prior to the story opening. The crux of the piece is that Willow is coerced into performing the hat trick she does in canon at the series end, but instead of being the big hero moment, the spell is corrupted to turn the potentials into slayer-vampires.
For the follow up, I played loose and fast with the world Mabus constructed. A great many of the details change, but the final events of his story hold mostly true.
Buffy and Willow start off as broken as you’re likely to see them. Be patient. This story is about how learning to love can lead to redemption.

Summary
My goal when I began this project was to replace the events of No Future for You with something perhaps slightly more compelling. Where I ended up bears almost no resemblance to the root story. Instead of replacing a mere four books in the series, I replace something closer to six. It’s a mess…an extremely controlled, intentionally created mess.
The first act is primarily composed of a cutesy romance. There are, of course, elements that defy that description, but the core story is a romance wrought with your standard coupling angst. I never lose sight of that even when stuff goes straight to hell. That’s what second acts are for, right?
So, if you’d like to see one of your favorite characters spread thin like too little butter on dry toast, this is the story for you.
Should you want to know more before you read, this entry will better explain what I had in mind.

Summary
“You get my admiration and praise for an excellent piece that was written in record time with no deviation from quality. Characterization was good up to the point where it became your universe and continued from there as I felt your extrapolations were accurate. The plot was compelling, the romance believable. Angst a little heavy but third-person past does have limits which you overcame, for the most part, well enough with letting us peek in their heads. Sometimes the shifting got a bit...dull, information overload but the plot was quick enough to not let that be a severe issue.
And, as I said, the story was strong enough and created skillfully enough that you used the Rule Breakers well and incorporated them into your story. So I’d say it was a quadruple success. You took on gender-flips, immortality, death and possible after life and it worked.” Mad-Hamlet

How many of you have pined for someone only to be rejected?
Yup, me too. That’s part of the human condition that afflicts just about everyone from the homeliest of geeks to genetic freaks possessing the impossible combination of perfect facial symmetry coupled with an ability to survive on sashimi and celery.
Add an unhealthy dollop of confusion, a large pinch of hocus pocus, a dash of humor and a smidge of wanton violence. Blend the ingredients liberally and pour the resulting mixture into a stick-proof pan. Simmer over high heat for a couple of weeks and you’ll have the first draft.
From there things might get a bit tricky. We’ll see.
