Summary
The Hawke family was used to life throwing hardship their way. Facing a Darkspawn army, fighting for life and freedom, meeting dangerous witches, it was all just life as usual. Sekhmet would fight to protect them even with her last breath. She had made a promise to Papa and she intended on keeping it, it was the least she could do after what she had done.
The story is pretty mild so far, rating will change as the story progresses. It is slightly AU as it fits into my Relationship In Pieces Universe.

Three years after the Warden was crowned Queen of Ferelden, ominous winds begin to blow across Thedas. Three years after being made Viscount of Kirkwall, Hawke receives word from her about an impending threat and insists on both an audience and an alliance. Claiming it to be worse than the Archdemon, both women must work to rally together their peoples as well as their old allies to stop that which threatens all of existence.

Isabela knows that Hawke is still caught up on Fenris after all this time, even if she would never openly admit to it. Feed up with seeing her friend so depressed, the pirate decides to take matters into her own hands. When Hawke's group stumbles upon a certain former assassin from her past, Isabela quickly hatches a plan with his help to get the lonely mage the attention she deserves, one way or another.
Meanwhile, Fenris struggles to distance himself from the one person he has ever felt any real connection to. Caught between unacknowledged feelings for Hawke and anger at how her magic affects both his markings and his resolve with a single touch, the elf shows his one-time lover nothing but outward disdain while secretly throwing himself between her and any opponent who would dare attempt to cause her harm. This just so happens to include a contemptible Antivan man with a silver tongue and wandering eyes who has taken a sudden and unacceptable interest in his mage. -
