Sherlock gets an unexpected visit from Siger, who says he’s going to try and help Sherlock with his ‘problem.’ By blood, Siger is Sherlock’s father, although he and Sherlock haven’t had any kind of relationship before. At least one that Sherlock has felt comfortable telling John about. It is clear that Sherlock and Siger have been fine this way; however, it is also relevant that Sherlock wants his father’s approval and maybe even some kind of relationship with him.
