Rec 3
Summary
Attolia had been delivered from the Mede, but it seemed Iolanthe did not find Eugenides to be a worthy substitute. "It's just not fair," she raged. "All these years successfully fending off her own barons, to be defeated by a half-grown goatfooted boy."

Summary
Sam has always had his brother, when he wanted him and when he didn't. But that was before he was the lucky recipient of a gift from faerie that Dean can't remember and John can't forget. It leaves Sam to find his own way to navigate between the 'real' world and the Winchester world and deal with guilt he can't shake, no matter how hard he tries. And trying? Is going to involve plenty of sex, rebellion (and maybe some of Dean's rock and roll. But not much).

This is so incredibly Attolia, and it might as well have happened in one of the books, it fits the feel of them so well.

I'd like to imagine this as part of my canon now. Great interaction, and very in-character all around.

Very Irene and Eugenides, even if it makes me a little heartsore. Their relationship is so unorthodox.

Rec 4
Summary
Much later, approaching Attolia's Audience Hall to make his greetings, Ahirom remembered that afternoon. Perhaps it was because that sunny day on the quay was the last moment of peace in his new, diminished life. It was the last moment of peace before he learned that his brother the King of Eblos was sending him, untrained and unprepared, on a diplomatic mission as the punchline of an infantile joke.
