Summary
Strength part of Magic, Strength and Courage series.
She could have just let him die; he was nothing to her. But the sword at his hip reminded her of her own quest for honour and redemption. He could not die. Not if she could save him. And she could...
A new take on "Sir Gawain and the Loathly Lady". Arin finds herself as Camelot's first female knight after saving Arthur's life, disfigured by a curse and still haunted by the dark past that brought her there. Desperate to prove herself, she comes to realise that perhaps the power to change her own fate lies in herself... That is, if she doesn't run out of time first.

Notes
This is not a bias opinion. Or perhaps it is. But let's go with not.
Original Characters are fickle things and they can turn into a Sue at any moment, thus ruining the story no matter how brilliant it is. However, there are exceptions and this, this is an exception. Arin is well rounded, and she was created with a passion to prove that there are/were/always will be strong female characters scattered around in the land of both fiction/fic itself. She interacts easily with the ensemble as well, and each of those men have brilliant character voices. Having only watched half of S1 however, I could be wrong. Yet from reading the lovely interaction between these characters, it feels as though they've been written with love, the love of an author who knows what they're doing. And this author knows what she's doing.
Did I mention Arin is badass? I haven't? Okay then. Arin is badass.
Definitely rec'ing this, it's something to keep an eye on!
