Summary
Reg and Visit are drawn into a mystery at the heart of Ankh Morpork's undead community. Why would a lifelong black-ribboner suddenly try to kill his landlady? And why have his ashes mysteriously disappeared? With the rest of the Watch focused on a threat to the new underground rail network, Reg and Visit will need to work together to solve the case, because if the two of them can't manage to put aside their differences, somebody's going to get away with murder...

Summary
In which Susan identifies "Where's My Cow" as a proto-talismanic anchor for Young Sam's continued health and existence, and tries very hard not to wonder what the Vimes' butler does on his day off. There may also be a lesson about the meaning of Hogswatch, but no one wants to talk about that.

Roughly translated, it really meant - "Throw a dinner party. Next Thursday. Invite everyone you enjoy irritating. And Mr De Worde doesn't like prawns."...Organise a gala at the palace for half the nobles on the Disc? Oh hell, thought Moist..

Summary
Once upon a time, the Auditors committed the ultimate arrogance and created life. But the Auditor inside 'Lady Myria LeJean' soon discovered that the flesh shapes the mind as the mind controls the flesh, and learned why living is so hard to set aside.
This story takes place both during and after Terry Pratchett's novel Thief of Time. The first five chapters are an expansion on the secondary character of Myria LeJean with some retelling from her point of view of scenes that originally appeared in that novel. As such, this story will contain some spoilers if you have not yet read ToT.

Plague! Thud games! Rats! Death! Catchwords!
Plague comes to Ankh-Morpork. Chaos and death ensue. All the while Vetinari keeps pestering Vimes with awkward questions that that commander distinctly Doesn't Want to Answer. Sir.
Set about four(ish) years after Thud (Snuff sort of didn't happen).
Super slow build up.

Summary
A Quirmian inspector arrives in Ankh-Morpork to chase after a con-man who skipped out of Quirm and whose trail has suddenly been picked up again.
Vimes doesn't like people infringing on his jurisdiction and questioning his abilities as a copper. And stop lecturing my men! That's my job!
Meanwhile there appears to be an arrival of an organized criminal network that isn't a guild. In fact it's stepping on a lot of guild's toes. His lordship isn't pleased and what are you going to do about it, commander?established Vimes/Vetinari.
Tech. takes place after that plague one but like Pratchett, it's not necessary to read them in order.
