This is actually the first story where I played with the theme of the Doctor and River's family. It's going to continue through the 12th and 13th with River, working with Moffat's hints of using a seriously revised version of the late 1980's Cartmel plan.
About the story title- it comes from John Lennon's song "Woman". It's been my favorite song of his since it came out in 1980. I happened to hear it again while I was coming up with this story. I realized the lyrics could fit River and the Doctor's relationship quite well. So I picked the line "It Is Written In The Stars" from the song for my title.

Jared loves Jensen, an aspiring cartoonist just starting grad school, who has a history of yo-yo dieting and some inexplicable habit of attracting weirdos (though he didn't really get a choice with Danneel). Jensen loves Jared, two years his junior, currently doing a semester abroad at Oxford and entertaining dreams of being Charles Xavier when he grows up. Without completely clueing Jared into what's at play, Jensen wants to put on at least another fifty pounds while Jared's at Oxford, by way of indulging in their mutual kink… This is where Misha comes in.
Misha is Jensen's best friend, roommate, and fellow grad student. He has some problems with anxiety, emotional awareness (in that he has very little), and nonchalantly committing crimes against nature. Misha's also been in unrequited love with Jensen for four years, and in denial about having an eating disorder for even longer than he realizes. And he's fairly certain that he's pissed off some Supreme Cosmic Power, because between the sexual frustration and his looming relapse, it really looks like the universe is trying to screw him over.

His stupid, cheery roommate, Louis needed to get that through his thick head. If Louis just learned to stay out of Harry's way they wouldn't have a problem. Too bad Louis insists on finding out what makes this curly boy tick.
Meanwhile Josh can't wait to be reunited with his old love Niall. Once he get's there they'll be back in each other's arms and take on the world together. It's going to be perfect. There's no reason it won't be, they're soul mates, they're meant to be together. Too bad Niall doesn't seem to agree.
